Our throws have been created from specially selected, naturally coloured Alpaca Tops manufactured by Cashmere Connections and yarn spun & woven by Waverley Woolen Mills. Waverley spun the Alpaca tops into bouclé yarns before weaving the throws on dornier looms and then brushing the yarn in the finishing process
 
Suri Alpaca fibre is a lustrous, soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fibre. While similar to sheep’s wool, Alpaca is warmer, lighter, softer and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite.
 
As the throws are created using natural colours, the soft, luxurious and silky qualities of the natural fibre are not masked by the dying process. Our throws are a pleasure to feel and are a pleasure to use on a cold Winter's night.
 
Suri Alpaca is difficult to process. To our knowledge there are no other throws made from 100% Suri available in Australia. As we use only natural colours, the colours will vary from one production lot to the next. These throws are therefore special and few in number (Limited Editions).
